

Class Description
The American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training program is designed to provide youth ages 11-16 who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to give care safely and responsibly to children and infants. The goal of this training is to help participants develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business; keep themselves and others safe; and learn childcare skills and basic first aid.
This will also include a two year certification in Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.
The Adult & Pediatric First Aid/ CPR/AED class focuses on skills helping adults, children and infants. The purpose of the courses in the First Aid/CPR/AED program is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies to know how to care for a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.
The CPR is a Blended Learning Class which gives students the ability to do most of the training online then test their skills in the afternoon session.

Course Length
The online portion can range from 30 minutes to 3 hours long depending on technology limitations and familiarity with the skills. Participants will receive a training link in an email after they booked a class. Participants must have online portion completed before coming into scheduled in-person session.
The moring in-person session will have four babysitter sections each with three 10 minute breaks. There will be an hour lunch break followed by a 2.5 hour session in First Aid/CPR/AED.

How long do your certifications last?
Most Red Cross certificates we issue last for two years from the date of your training. All certificates are digital and sent to your email with in one business day of the successfully completed class.
If you lost your certificate you can find it online on the American Red Cross Website.
I did not get my Blended Learning (BL) link after I booked my class. What do I do?
You should have received two emails when you booked your class. One a confirmation email, the second an email with with a link to your class. Please check your spam folder in case the email with the link was sent there.
If you cannot find the email with the link, please contact us right away.
