Class Description
This course will train instructor candidates to teach basic-level American Red Cross First Aid CPR and AED courses. In order to participate in this course you must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED (or higher level) certification or equivalent and be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course. Upon registration it is important that you review and follow the directions on the e-mail attachment sent with your registration confirmation. This is a blended learning course consisting of online content a skills session and classroom segments. Online material must be completed prior to attending the classroom activities. For more information please reference the attachment you will receive via e-mail when you register for this course.
Is This Class Right For You?

Companies wishing to teach their own staff CPR Skills.
Induvial wishing to start their own CPR training companies.
Providers working with families wishing to educate safety and first aid.
This class is NOT an American Heart Association (AHA) course.

Instructor Candidates who sign up should be prepared to:
Show proof of a base level of a current base level American Red Cross First/CPR/AED certification.
Demonstrate mastery of the skills to the standard that are outlined in the Pre-Course Work and Preparation for Approved First Aid/CPR/AED IT Candidates
Teach any of the knowledge and skills to the standard of the First Aid/CPR/AED r.21 program and be able to incorporate the use of video, course presentation, instructor materials and student materials during your assignments.
Use materials, equipment, etc. as outlined in the manuals.
Become familiar with the Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Blended Learning materials and online session located on the Red Cross Learning Center.

They provide walk-in tours, scheduled group tours, educational programs including field trips and scout programs, and more. DobroSKILLS uses the Fire Museum's second floor meeting space to hold CPR and BLS classes that are open to the community.
