Become A CPR Instructor

Early October 2024 I visited the American Red Cross in Las Vegas where I spent two days becoming an American Red Cross Instructor Trainer. That means I can teach people to become instructors in American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED. This is a great skill if you are an administrator and need to train staff on a regular basis or you work with families and want to teach them an important skill. I started my Instructor journey when I was with Bright Horizons and they had me teach CPR to the centers in the Chicagoland Area.

The base requirement is that you hold a current base American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification. To issue certifications you must be associated with an American Red Cross Authorized Provider or Licensed Training Provider. My first class is being held on November 17, 2024 at the Aurora Regional Fire Museum. It's a blended learning course. The first part is online and the second part is the all day training. As of right now I plan to hold this class quarterly.
