About The Author

Bobby Dobroski, Owner & CPR Instructor Trainer of DobroSKILLS LLC

Bobby is an American Red Cross Instructor Trainer with a wealth of experience, having been an instructor since 2016. He has taught a diverse range of students, including early education professionals and members of the public, throughout the Chicagoland area. Bobby holds a master’s degree in Early Childhood Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from National-Louis University. With over 20 years of experience in the administration and supervision of early childhood schools and camps, his expertise has been integral to the local community.


In addition to his professional accomplishments, Bobby is a dedicated father of two active boys and has a deep passion for running. He has completed an Ironman Triathlon and over twenty marathons in eleven states across the U.S.

Whether you're a teenager eager to start babysitting or a parent seeking peace of mind, this class will equip young caregivers with the skills needed to be responsible, prepared, and confident while looking after children. Our new Babysitter & CPR Certification Class is designed to provide young caregivers with the necessary skills to be responsible, prepared, and confident while caring for children.

Meet Bobby – Your Instructor!

Meet Bobby Dobroski, the person who will make learning CPR and babysitting skills enjoyable! He's not just an American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Trainer, but also a former Early Childcare Director who understands what it takes to keep kids safe and happy. When he's not teaching life-saving skills, he's managing his own two little boys—so trust us, he understands! With Bobby's enthusiasm and practical experience, you'll leave this class feeling fully prepared to take on babysitting like a pro., an experienced American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Trainer and former Early Childcare Director. Bobby has devoted his career to teaching life-saving skills and childcare education. When he's not leading first aid and CPR classes, he's caring for his two young boys. His practical experience and dedication to child safety make him the ideal instructor to guide young babysitters in becoming responsible and prepared caregivers.

About the Class

DobroSKILLS CPR is offering the American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training program, aimed at youth ages 11-16 who plan to babysit. This training provides the knowledge and skills necessary to care safely and responsibly for children and infants. Participants will develop leadership skills, learn how to build a babysitting business, ensure safety for themselves and others, and acquire essential childcare and first aid skills.

This course also includes a two-year certification in Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, equipping students to respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies.

The CPR training is a Blended Learning Class, allowing students to complete most of the training online before attending an afternoon session for hands-on skill testing.

Babysitting & Childcare Skills:

  • Performing basic child care skills

  • Picking up and holding infants and toddlers

  • Bottle feeding & spoon feeding

  • Diapering & bedtime routines

  • Safety (inside & outside)

  • Preparing for emergencies

Babysitting Leadership & Business Skills:

  • Leadership & decision-making skills

  • The business of babysitting

First Aid & Emergency Response:

  • Choking & bleeding emergencies

  • Recognizing and responding to cardiac emergencies

  • Performing CPR and using an AED for adults, children, and infants

  • Responding to sudden illnesses & injuries

  • Handling environmental emergencies
